Black Ownership Matters Holds Second Fundraising Dinner in Washington D.C.

Black Ownership Matters (BOM) held its second successful fundraising dinner in Washington D.C. on March 23 during Legislative Day.

The number of attendees doubled from last year’s event and funds raised during the event totaled more than $5,000.

Dr. Brandynicole Brooks, Eban Consulting chief development and equity officer, opened the meeting by discussing the importance of utilizing cultural humility to enhance the client/customer experience. All funds raised will go towards BOM’s ongoing mission to create equity within the pest management space through mentorship.

In the last year, BOM’s member and mentor numbers have continued to grow while its members continue to make their mark within the industry, the organization said.

This year the organization will host several virtual technical and business development training sessions and host a membership meeting during PestWorld 2023.
